Most people start at 250mg to establish tolerance. Courses are the usual approach, because a single infusion is a measurement rather than a protocol.
What NAD+ Is
Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide is a coenzyme present in every cell. It is central to how mitochondria convert food into usable energy, and it is a required substrate for sirtuins and for the PARP enzymes involved in DNA repair.
NAD+ levels decline with age. That much is not in dispute, and it is the reason NAD+ has become a fixture of longevity medicine. What is still being worked out is how much difference raising those levels makes to human outcomes, and by which route.
What a Session Involves
A 250mg infusion takes roughly two hours; 500mg takes three to four. The rate is slow by necessity.
This is the part other clinics tend not to mention. Infusing NAD+ quickly causes chest tightness, flushing, abdominal cramping and nausea. It is not dangerous and it is entirely rate-dependent — slowing the drip settles it within a minute or two. We adjust the rate to your comfort throughout, which is why the appointment takes as long as it does. If you are told a NAD+ drip takes twenty minutes, something is wrong with either the dose or the description.

What the Evidence Does and Does Not Show
Established: NAD+ declines with age; it is essential to mitochondrial function, sirtuin activity and DNA repair; and depletion is implicated in several age-related processes. This is textbook biochemistry.
Still being studied: whether raising NAD+ by infusion produces measurable clinical benefit in healthy adults, the optimal dose and interval, and whether intravenous administration outperforms oral precursors such as NMN and NR. Human trials are small and early.
We think you should have that picture before spending money. NAD+ therapy at CLNQ is offered as an elective wellness treatment, not as a treatment for any medical condition, and we will say so at consultation.
