How is non-surgical buttock filler administered?
The area will be sterilised and local anaesthetic will be applied. The injections will then begin and take no longer than 15-30 minutes normally. Once all of the buttock filler product has been administered, a massage will be carried out to disperse the products and avoid tiny bumps forming. It is recommended that this massage is carried out twice daily for the following two weeks after treatment for optimum results.
How many sessions will I need?
The number of sessions required to achieve the desired result will vary from patient to patient however it can vary from between 1-3. Your doctor or nurse will be able to provide an indication at consultation.
How many injections will I need?
The number of injections and quantity of product will depend on the area being treated and on the individual patient and be subject to consultation. This will depend on which areas we are treating.
How quickly will I see results from buttock fillers?
You will usually see immediate results following the bum filler procedure. There may be some swelling in the first few days which can make things look more fuller than the final result.

The duration of results will vary between patients and depend on many factors. On average patients expect to see results last up to 18 months.
Are there any side-effects of buttock fillers?
Most patients are able to resume normal activities immediately after treatment although it is common to experience redness, tenderness, and swelling however this should reduce over the coming hours. Applying an ice pack and taking over the counter pain relief may help if required. A delayed rare side effect could include the formation of tiny bumps under the skin in the treated area. In the majority of cases, these bumps are not visible to the naked eye. Granulomas are lumps that form under the skin and can happen with any filler treatment. Infection is uncommon but can occur following any injectable procedure. It is also uncommon to experience skin necrosis during this procedure but cases have been reported.

Every patient is seen and assessed before anything is booked, and treatment is led by a clinic whose medical director, Mr Reza Nassab, is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon (FRCS Plast) — which matters here more than in most aesthetic treatments.
It matters because buttock augmentation is one of the areas where things go badly wrong outside regulated clinics. Large volumes are injected close to significant blood vessels, and the UK has a long history of unlicensed practitioners injecting industrial silicone, so-called “biopolymers” or unlicensed products in hotel rooms and salons, sometimes with life-changing consequences. We use CE-marked hyaluronic acid fillers licensed for body use, in a clinic, with a named clinician and a written record.

How long does buttock filler last?
Hyaluronic acid filler in the buttock typically lasts in the region of twelve to eighteen months before the body gradually breaks it down, though this varies with how much was used, your metabolism and how active you are. It is a treatment you maintain rather than a one-off.
Is buttock filler safe?

The risks that make headlines come from unlicensed products and unqualified injectors. Can buttock filler be dissolved?
Yes. Hyaluronic acid can be broken down with hyaluronidase if you are unhappy with the result or if there is a complication. That reversibility is one of the genuine advantages over permanent products, and it is a reason never to accept a permanent filler in this area.
How much downtime is there?
Most people return to normal activity the same day. You will be asked to avoid the gym, saunas, and sitting or lying directly on the treated area as much as possible for around two weeks, and to sleep on your front or side initially. Swelling and bruising settle over one to two weeks.
Can filler fix hip dips?
