What is BodyTite?

BodyTite ™ is a minimally invasive radiofrequency body contouring device for skin tightening and fat reduction.  The BodyTite ™ has become a hugely popular treatment worldwide.  It can be used for many areas of the body such as abdomen (tummy), chest, arms, thighs and legs.  There are smaller probes that can used used for the face, jawlines, chin and eye areas such as the FaceTite ™ and AccuTite ™.

How does BodyTite work?

The Inmode BodyTite ™ device uses a small fine probe that is passed underneath the skin using a small incision.  This heats the tissues from within to cause shrinkage of fat and tightening of the skin.  The machine is able to monitor and limit the temperature of the tissues and skin to ensure that it delivers a safe and effective amount of heat.

BodyTite ™ can be combined with other procedures such as liposuction to improve the overall appearance of the procedure.

What are the risks of BodyTite?

Who is BodyTite suitable for?

BodyTite ™ is best suited for patients with small areas of fat or skin laxity.  The ideal patient would have a normal or ideal body weight.  The procedure may be suitable for those patients that would like to avoid a general anaesthetic invasive procedure. It can be used to improve outcomes following more invasive procedures. In some patients, it may be best to consider surgical options but your surgeon will discuss these with you.

What areas can BodyTite be used for?

BodyTite ™ can be used for many areas such as the abdomen, arms, chest, thighs, knees and legs. 

Is BodyTite painful?

The procedure is usually performed under local anaesthetic.  Some patients may experience some discomfort during the procedure.  Most patients will tolerate the procedure without much pain.  The local anaesthetic last for a few hours postoperatively then simple painkillers should be sufficient to control any pain or discomfort.

When can I see the results?

You will see some results immediately but there will generally be some swelling early on.  The skin tightening effects take several months, even up to 12 months, before they are fully noticeable.
